On March 4, the Beijing winter Paralympic Games officially opened, which will be the 13th winter Paralympic Games in history. After the end of the Second World War, some disabled soldiers tried to participate in skiing again. Disabled winter sports gradually originated in some parts of the world. Up to now, more than 40 countries and regions around the world have established disabled winter sports organizations. From Enshelzvik in Sweden in 1976 to Beijing in 2022, more and more disabled athletes show the world their glorious moments of courage to forge ahead and surpass themselves through the winter Paralympic Games. With the concept of solidarity, friendship, courage and honest competition among people all over the world embodied in the winter Paralympic Games deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, the number of participating countries and regions and the number of athletes are increasing year by year, and the influence of the winter Paralympic Games is increasing day by day.

3月4日，北京冬残奥会正式开幕，这将是历史上第13届冬残奥会。第二次世界大战结束后，一些伤残军人试图重新参加滑雪运动，残疾人冬季体育运动在世界个别地区逐渐发源，到如今，全世界已有40多个国家和地区建立了残疾人冬季体育组织。从1976年的瑞典恩舍尔兹维克到2022年的北京，越来越多的残疾人运动员通过冬残奥会，向世界展示他们勇于进取、超越自我的高光时刻。随着冬残奥会所体现出的世界各国人民之间的团结、友谊、勇气以及诚实竞争的理念深入人心，参赛国家、地区的数量和参赛运动员人数呈逐届递增趋势，冬残奥会影响力日趋增大。

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, winter sports for the disabled in China have developed rapidly. Before that, of the six major events set up in the winter Paralympic Games, China only carried out two major events: paralympic cross-country skiing and wheelchair curling, with only 40 or 50 athletes. Through efforts, more than 1000 disabled people are engaged in ice and snow sports in China, and the winter Paralympic events involved have been expanded from the original two major events to six major events, realizing the full coverage of all major events of the winter Paralympic Games.

党的十八大以来，我国残疾人冬季体育运动得以迅猛发展。在此之前，冬残奥会上所设立的6个大项中，我国仅开展了残奥越野滑雪和轮椅冰壶2个大项，所有运动员只有四五十人。经过努力，目前全国从事冰雪运动的残疾人已超过千人，所涉及的冬残奥项目也由原来的2个大项拓展到6个大项，实现了冬残奥会所有大项全覆盖。

Recently, the Chinese sports delegation for the Beijing winter Paralympic Games was established and will send a huge delegation composed of 96 athletes to participate. They will compete in 6 major events and 73 minor events, with a coverage of 93%.

日前北京冬残奥会中国体育代表团成立，将派出由96名运动员组成的庞大代表团参赛。他们将参加6个大项和73个小项的角逐，参赛项目覆盖率达到93%。
